Optimizing Work-from-Home for Insurance Professionals

This session provides security, compliance, and productivity tools and tips shared by insurance professionals and technology experts, with focus on four topics.

Topic 1 – Effective E-Communications: Dr. Silk reports, use emoji in your email in this remote world. A well-placed happy emoji in an email can limit cortisol hormone release that naturally occurs in the beginning of an encounter (even an email encounter). Cortisol is the hormone that prepares the body and brain to respond to danger, focusing an individual’s cognitive resources to deal with the threat at hand. If your staff, client, or prospect feels threatened, even in some subconscious cortisol-hormone-induced way, they will find it hard to focus on their work or your proposal. Productivity may drop, and you may lose the deal. Read more.

Topic 2 – Effective Video Communications: If you use eye contact (and display empathy or feelings of friendliness) in your video meetings, the subconscious of the person you are connecting with automatically mimics your eye contact and movement, and there is initiated a human connection. Your eye gaze provides a communicative signal that transfers information regarding emotional and mental states. But interestingly, it is not seeing someone’s face or smile that creates this humanized video meeting — it is the live eye contact and the synchronizing of one’s gaze and blinking. Read more.

Topic 3 – E-Signatures: Optimize business operations with RSign e-signatures for feature-rich, easy to use, and more affordable e-signature services.

Topic 4 – E-Security: Automate e-security training with RMail Recommends™. When the user clicks the normal “Send” button, RMail predicts whether to recommend or require a specific RMail feature be applied to the message, or whether the message should be sent as a standard email. Main benefits are (a) forcing encryption or other features on specific messages to mitigate risk of data breaches and to maximize compliance proof, and (b) automatically training and sensitizing users as to what is important enough to send encrypted or with other features.
